Benefit Luncheon

September 19, 2012

The ywca annual benefit luncheon is a popular event that spotlights our programs and mission, showcases powerful testimony, and engages our community on a deeper level.

Our 2012 Benefit Luncheon is Wednesday, September 19th at the Hilton Vancouver. Listen to keynote speaker Naomi Tutu as she inspires you to be the change with a blend of passion for human dignity, humor and personal stories. Seats are $40 per person or $400 for a table of 10. Online registration will be open early June.

Classic Wines Auction

March 2012

ywca clark county partners with the Classic Wines Auction (CWA) to present a fantastic fundraising event that includes a gala auction, winemaker dinners, and Ambassador’s Dinner.  Funds raised from these events support the work of non-profit organizations such as Metropolitan Family Service, New Avenues for Youth, Friends of the Children – Portland and ywca clark county.

Classic Wines Auction started when a small group of friends raising funds for Portland Metropolitan Family Service formed a non-profit entity in 2004 after experiencing an overwhelmingly positive response from Wine Spectator magazine and the community. According to a 2010 article in Wine Spectator magazine, CWA is one of the top ten charity wine auctions in the United States. The auction continues to gain support, and consistently raises more than $2.2 million annually.

Women of Achievement

After serious deliberation, ywca clark county and Clark College have jointly made the decision to discontinue the Women of Achievement luncheon.
